Duly filled in application form with all requisite documents (as in next para) should be deposited directly at the office counter or sent by post.


  • Attested copies of all certificates and mark sheets in respect of prescribed entry level qualification.
  • A self addressed and stamped envelop with postage stamp of Rs.6/- affixed on each of both index card & intimation card (Application Form).
  • Certified records pertaining to Ex-Servicemen/War-widows, if any.
  • One recent passport size photograph of the applicant duly attested by any gazetted officer.
  • Attested copy of Residential Certificate.
  • Attested copies of the certificates in case of sportsman/physically handicapped persons/children of Green Card holders and sons/wards of ex-servicemen.
  • Physical fitness certificate.


  • Candidates will be selected/ allotted trades through counseling strictly on merit basis by the 'Admission Selection Committee' constituted by Government from time to time under the Chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Dhenkanal.
  • As per the Government of Odisha norms, 15% of the seats will be kept reserved for scheduled caste (SC), 23% for the scheduled tribe (ST) candidates, % 3 for the PH candidates, 2% for Ex-serviceman candidates & 5% for Green Card holders etc.
  • The candidate claiming reservation under physically handicapped (PH) category shall have to produce a medical certificate from the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) with validity indicating the percentage of handicap, should be produced with recommendation that he/she shall be able to prosecute studies in the courses offered in the ITIs. Any candidate failing to produce the certificate from C.D.M.O will not be taken into consideration under P.H. reservation category.
  • In case of non availability of SC/ST/PH/Green Card/Ex-Serviceman candidates, seats under the reserve categories shall be filled up by General candidates.
  • The trades of Candidate's choice can be allotted subject to availability of seat in the particular trade as per candidate's eligibility for the same.

Documents to be submited at the time of admission:

  • Original Certificates of H.S.C /Mark Sheet /School /College leaving certificate from the Institution last attended/Residential Certificate along with three nos. of passport size photograph.
  • Requisite original documents for SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman/Green Card candidates for availing reserve Seats.

Implementation of Semester system in iti

Semester system pattern was adopted in the craftsmen training scheme from the year 2013. Training in 1st semester is to be started from an academic session i.e. in the month of August. On completion of the training period of a particular semester, trade testing would be done under the aegis of NCVT on January and July every year. Each trainee has to secure pass marks in each subject (including sessional) in each semester for award of NTC.
